Cicakman 2 is a sequel to Cicak Man, the first Malaysian comedy superhero film using 40% CGI footage.

Special Note - The film was first released at the 13th Pusan International Film Festival (South Korea) on October 5, 2008 as world premiere for superheroes in Asia segment.

In terms of additional programming, there will also be question and answer sessions with filmmakers after the day time screenings. We will also have a display of Malaysian batik in the festival club.  This is a free exhibition open to the general public.  The festival club with its own café is also a great place for people to have a drink and a bite to eat and to soak up the atmosphere of the festival before and after a film.  Students attending the films during the week will be able to view the batik exhibition after film screenings, and speak with Malaysian people about their culture (including the Peranakan culture)

Other information:  This year the “Australian Malaysian Film Festival” is part of “Malaysia Week”, a series of events which are being held in Melbourne – all with a Malaysian flavour!
